THE PYRAMIDS AT GIZA
The three pyramids at Giza belonged to the pharaoh Khufu, his son Khafra and the pharaoh Menkaura. When the pyramids were built they were covered in dazzling white limestone. Around the bottom of the pyramids a few of these original stone casing blocks can still be seen. The pyramids stand 137m tall, dwarfing some modern monumants such as the Statue of Liberty.

THE SPHINX
The Great Sphinx, a lion with the head of a man, guards the three pyramids. The massive structure depicts the pharaoh Khafra. The sphinx looks east, towards the rising sun and has been buried in sand for most of the last 4,500 years.

KING TUTANKHAMUN
Tour the stunning Egyptian Museum of Antiquities and marvel at the treasures of past kings including the most famous of all. In 1922, Howard Carter uncovered the tomb of Tutankhamun, the most significant archaeological find of the century.
