The capital of Cyprus is Nicosia which lies on the border with Turkish occupied Cyprus. It is a busy city with an extensive history. From Limassol you can go on 2 or 3 day cruises to Egypt and visit the Pyramids or take a cruise to the holy land, Israel. On the eastern side of the island is Agia Napa; always popular with young fun loving holiday makers. The beaches are some of the best in the Mediterranean. Other places to visit include:

Medieval castle of Paphos in Paphos harbour.
Palaia Paphos - Aphrodite's Temple.
Monastery of Ayios Neophytos, 10km north of Paphos on the road to Polis.
Chrysoroyiatissa: In Paphos district, about 40 km east from the main road to Polis, there is the idyllic monastery of Chrysoroyiatissa. This monastery is famous for its excellent wine.
